Notes: Great week, but no long run. I had 4 quality workouts and one final run with the boys @ Swiftwick. The Hills where snow covered and the sun shinning, it was an appropriate final outing! This route we did got me thinking of linking a few of these routes together to make one hell of a off trail, route finding adventure run. Next winter?

Week Totals: Jan 21-27

Monday: 8.0 mi. (Lynnwood Pass/Bob's)
Tuesday: 6.0 mi. (Hidden Lake Hill Repeats)
Wednesday: 9.0 mi. (Lynnwood Pass/Holly Tree Gap)
Thursday: 9.1 mi. (Shady Creek/Bob's)
Friday: 6.2 mi. (Water Tower/Beech's Tavern)
Saturday: Off
Sunday: 22.3 mi. (RWB x 2)

Week Totals: 60.6 mi.

Notes: Pretty great week for me. I had 3 quality workouts with hill repeats Tuesday, Tempo Run on Wednesday and a LSD run on Sunday. All in all it was a great week. As my first ever official marathon grows closer I'm trying to find some kind of form, while this marathon is a "C" race as far as prep and importance, I still want to give it an honest effort. My road legs are however a lot better than my trail legs, this is evident after my RWB x 2 beat down on Sunday. It's crazy how fast you can lose that sharpness! Looking forwards to the next few weeks as I start a new job I hope I can manage to still get out the door for some quality workouts and find some ok fitness for the marathon in mid march.

Still working on it

Not sure where to start, so I'll keep it brief. Got my first "W" earlier in the year at a small race iAL, followed up with a 6th place at RUTS 10 hr in June and a some what disappointing 28th at SJ 50k in Chattanooga a few weeks ago. Now after a short rest week I turn my attention to Jan. and the Mt.Mist 50k in Huntsville. Now looking forward to finding some real form for that race... Till next time
