As I write this I am still trying to figure out what I want to accomplish in 2011. 2500 miles for the calender year? run 5 ultra distance races? a 50 miler? I do however have one thing in mind, and that is to be more consistant than 2010. Don't get me wrong 2010 was a great year for me, but I want to do more and grow as an ultra runner. I have some ideas for 2011 and some plans that I hope to cement soon. So here is what I'm thinking. LBL 60k March, Maybe Strolling Jim, R.U.T.S 10hr in June as one of my A races, Big South Fork Sept, Pacing duties in Oct. (Jeff??) Stump Jump 50k or Maybe even Dizzy Fifties again, RKH50k Dec. If I put this race plan down then I will have entered upwards of 5 Ultras and that will be a great year for me. 2500 miles for the calender is a big ask as I only ran 1700 miles in 2010 but if I get close I should be super fit for most of the year. As I look forward I have the peace of mind that it is now Jan 3,2011 and I have 12 months to make it happen. If I stay positive and focused I can be the runner I want to be. I feel that I can make 2011 as special year. So here's to staying healthy and strong!
